Do not use Depilatory creams 1 week prior to treatment.
The use of tanning cream or spray tans must be discontinued 2 weeks before treatment.
Please thoroughly shave the area with a bladed razor (not electric trimmers) the evening before the treatment or first thing in the morning on the day of the treatment. If you arrive with the area unshaven or poorly shaved, you will loose one treatment of your total course. Skin must be stubble free and smooth otherwise the treatment will be at greater risk of causing burns
For facial Laser Hair removal, you must arrive without make-up or arrive early enough to remove your own make-up on site before your appointment time.
For underarm laser hair removal, do not use deodorants or remove it before the session.
If you are having your fingers or toes treated, please ensure you are not wearing any nail polish.
Avoid sun exposure two weeks prior to the treatment
Immediately after treatment, there may be redness, swelling and in very rare cases mild blistering at the treatment area, which may feel like mild sunburn. These are normal skin reactions to this treatment.
The application of iced water during the first few hours after treatment will reduce any discomfort.
Our clinic recommend using the laser after care Aloe Vera Gel products to avoid any adverse effects. The application of SPF 50 Double protection and healing creams is essential to be used after the laser sessions and continue use to complement laser sessions.
Mineral make-up may be used immediately after the treatment unless there is epidermal blistering.
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyper pigmentation or darker pigmentation. Use sunscreen SPF 50 at all times throughout the course of treatment.
Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin. Do not use any other hair removal treatment methods (waxing, electrolysis or tweezing) that will disturb the hair follicle at the treatment area throughout your laser course.
Hair regrowth occurs at different rates on different areas of the body. Anywhere from 5-19 days after the treatment, shedding of the surface hair may occur and this appears as new hair growth. This is NOT new hair growth. You can clean and remove the hair by washing or wiping the area with a wet cloth or Loofa sponge.
After the underarms are treated, use a powder, instead of deodorant, for 24 hours after the treatment to reduce skin irritation.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot baths and heat treatments and treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.
Avoid sun exposure for two weeks
